MOMN Meeting with Hugh McTavish Ph.D.

Members of MaskOffMN gathered together once again this week to review current event updates related to masks, the vaccines and other headlines around the globe related to COVID-19. A few highlights include, the contradictory data around vaccine effectiveness coming out of Israel and the CDC (Walensky), and Fauci's consistent flip flopping on mask effectiveness.

The team also reviewed the recent FDA "approval" of the Pfizer vaccine which if one looks closer at the FDA's approval documentation in actuality it's the 'Comirnaty' vaccine (not available to the public at this time) which is approved and the Pfizer brand is technically still under EUA. The FDA defends this seemingly deceptive move by stating, "the two vaccine makers are legally distinct but it does not impact safety or effectiveness." In contrast, The Children's Health Defense organization argues there is a huge difference between EUA and FDA approval.

David shared updates related to volunteer and awareness efforts including the recent rally held at the Minnesota State Capital on 8/28 (a few thousand were in attendance - go MN!); as well as the upcoming 'Happy Hour with the Doctors' (Barn Event Center, Minneapolis on 10/3), including Dr. Scott Jensen, Dr. Bob and others, and a Family Picnic at Lake Minnetonka (9/20). Lastly, the meeting wrapped up with a presentation on the real impacts of COVID-19 by Hugh McTavish, Ph.D. Dr. McTavish shared data and statistics related to declines in mental health, economic hardships and the overall negative impact to our communities as it relates to the lockdowns, masks, isolation, etc.
