Searching for VH MDX

In mid April 2021 i traveled up to the Gloucester river to meet with some like minded searchers who were going up into the Mine creek area, as i left Sydney it started raining and the further north the heavier the rain, by the time i had arrived at Gloucester river everyone had left so i settled in for the night, next morning at fist light the rain had gone and i drove up to the Tops to Hike out along the range for a look around. VH MDX was a Cessna 210 which was flying back from the Whitsunday islands via Coolangatta and Bankstown on the night of August 9 1981 when it disappeared over the rugged Barrington Tops with five souls on board, after encountering high wind, icing and losing their primary instruments.
