We’re gonna try to read as many chapters of the Bible as possible from the Geneva Bible, which predates the king James Bible and was the Bible of the protestant reformation. Roman Catholics read the bishops Bible, protestants read the Geneva Bible, then king James decided that Roman Catholic schism and protestants should compromise in the king James Bible, a particular reason for this was the king James was an authoritarian who did not like anyone to be allowed to criticize him the king. He did not like the Geneva Bible because the Geneva Bible had many fundamentalist biblical Christian criticisms of tyrants and kings in general, in line as God was criticizing them or just demonstrating the sins of those kinks. King James thought that no one should ever be allowed to criticize any kind of royalty ever especially not him. So he didn’t like the Geneva Bible and its copious interlinear commentaries.
