In Texas, 666 new laws came into effect on September 1, but everyone is hyper-focused on one law: SB8. This new law prohibits abortion beyond the six-week mark, aka when a heartbeat is detected. Many critics of the law have come out, to the point that Portland, OR, may not do any business with Texas. Texas also became a permitless carry state. This means that any Texan over the age of 21 with a clean record can carry a handgun without a permit. Should more states do this?
