For the Holy Spirt to be the comforter to us, we have to declare that He is the comforter to us.

The Holy Spirit has been given to us to put us over in this life.

John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever.

He is our Counselor, our Intercessor, our Advocate, our Helper, our Strengthener, our Standby.

The titles of the Holy Spirit are important to us because they are His identification to us and in us.

We do not have to pray for Him to be any of these things. He is these things.

John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees Him not, neither knows Him: but ye know Him; for He dwells with you, and shall be in you.

There is no reason we should not know the Holy Spirit. Jesus told us that we would know Him because He dwells in us.

We should have confidence in who we are. We are the Body of Christ. The Body of Christ is led by the Holy Spirit.

He is activated in His position in us through the avenue of faith.

Philemon 6 tells us that our faith becomes effective by declaring who and what is in us through redemption.

You cannot build your faith on feelings and emotions. You have to base it on the Word of God.

If you build on emotions, you'll always chase experiences. The Holy Ghost can't be what He is supposed to be in you if you are always chasing experiences.

We are to pray in our understanding AND we are to pray in the Spirit.

Stay out of the ditches. Do both. This is the responsibility of the believer.

You can't go natural to find spiritual answers.

John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Our relationship with the Holy Spirit is the key to what puts us over in this life.
