Does Bigotry (racism) still exist in the USA? I may just shock some of you.

Do you think that the people of the US are still racist? Is there still an air of that old time hate that we just can't seem to get rid of? Is it systemic or is it just something that happens here and there?
From personal experiences, I relate a few stories that tell a troubling story about our nation as it stands and I ask people to fix reason in place and think through this challenge to our humanity. Can we continue to exist while hating some of our fellow citizens whether it be hardcore or soft or while allowing those placed in positions to help others to at times display a disdain for those in their care. Should we not all be held to a higher level of consciousness and awareness? Don't shut yourself off to the conversation. Be ready to learn more and listen to the words of others who may not have your experiences.
