In this episode, Channa Channa Channa is talking to Barney Ribeiro Founder, Guitarist and Songwriter of Nervecell. Channa saw Nervecell for the first time in 2011 in the Philippines where he talked to Barney for the first time. Channa again saw Nervecell in Manila in 2018. Channa has been a Nervecell for over a decade.

Barney who was born in U.A.E the middle east discovered Metal from MTV’s Headbangers ball. Started playing with his school friends and eventually started Nervecell when he was attending college.

Barney talks about how Nervecell released their first EP and 3 Full-length albums, played for Desert Rock Festival 2005 in Dubai, and opened for Sepultura, touring in Europe playing at major festivals like Waken. Barney also discusses the formula behind the band for ultimate success.

Barney also remembers collaborating with Karl Sanders of Nile and finally opening for Metallica in 2011 for their Death Magnetic Tour in Abu Dhabi.

Nervecell is currently taking a break during COVID and they are looking forward to the future.
