Police Bodycam Shows Officer Pull Baby From Stolen Car

Queensland Police has released footage of the moment a five-month-old baby was found safe and well inside a car stolen from its parents.

The car had been stolen from a Gold Coast home on Thursday with the infant still in the back seat.

“The vehicle and baby reported missing from the Molendinar area have been located. The baby is safe and well,” Queensland Police said in a statement.

The baby was strapped into the rear child seat of the car – parked in the garage of a Molendinar home – when unknown offenders allegedly jumped into the vehicle and drove away about 4.25pm.

The car was found abandoned in a Worongary industrial estate a short time later.

“Here bubba,” an officer says while picking the child up to comfort it.

“You’re all right. You’re all right.”

The relieved parents were reunited with their child shortly after.
