Amazing 7 Kadupul Flowers
Brahma Kamalam
Dutchman's pipe cactus
Epiphyllum oxypetalum, also known by its scientific name, is nicknamed the "Queen of the Night" in English. Kadupul flower is known to the Japanese as the "Princess of the Moon". This flower is a rare dense flower. This is because the plant does not flower regularly. It take a long time to bloom but fade overnight. The flowers bloom only at night.
In our country this is known as Kadupul Mala but in India it is known as Brahma Kamalam. It is said that the name was given by the great Brahma after creation. Believers believe that during the time of flowering, they receive what God asks of them. It is also mentioned in our literature and Buddhist sutras that this flower is found in the world of the cobra.
