First U.S. Bound Flight Carrying Evacuees from Afghanistan Depart Naval Station Rota

(Aug. 31, 2021) Flight carrying 350 evacuees from Afghanistan departed Naval Station (NAVSTA) Rota for the United States, Aug. 31 in support of Operation Allies Refuge. NAVSTA Rota is currently supporting the Department of Defense mission to facilitate the safe departure and relocation of U.S. citizens, Special Immigration Visa recipients and vulnerable Afghan populations from Afghanistan.
