DESPERADO-Eagles Cover by The Canjo Woman of Tennessee-practice 2021

🎵DESPERADO-Eagles cover practice.
So my sound man wanted to set up the equipment outside to check it for tomorrow’s festival. I sound checked with “DESPERADO” by the Eagles. I still am not completely getting the notes on the Canjo or all the lyrics, but I think I will add it in my concert tomorrow in Woodbury Tennessee’s Arts & Crafts Festival. I think if I practice a few more times before we hit the road I’ll be able to get through it. Can’t wait to meet y’all tomorrow & hope & pray it doesn’t rain. I’ll have canjos available to try & or buy before and after my concert at 3pm on the main stage. Love y’all & hope to see y’all at the festival!

🎵So I’m working on an Eagles song that I’ve never done before on my canjo. I’d like to do it at my concert this weekend in Woodbury Tennessee at the Short Mountain Arts & Crafts Festival, if I can really get it. This song, to me speaks of my life & how I always pushed for my dreams to write and play and sing and paint. And how I always ride the fences and like the song says, I need to come down off the fences and relax more. Sometimes along the way the Lord slowed me down and taught me to enjoy the little priceless things in life, like spending time with friends and family and trusting and resting in God more to lead me in my dreams. Of course I’m doing a lot better over the last 10 years in following God’s lead more. When I trust him more and not be so desperate to succeed, then He opens all the right doors to let my light shine for him. So here’s a practice video of Desperado. I noticed myself getting a little emotional & starting to cry a little at one point in the song about not being able to tell the night time from the day. I guess I was thinking of my life with all its ups and downs & when my late husband fell at work and died and the struggles my little girl had losing her dad. And all the suffering people including the women and children being hurt in Afghanistan. So I will try not to cry on Sunday when I do it.
