Labor Day: Will the end-of-year dash start?

It happens each year: Building Owners are concerned when they realize winter is around the corner and they must get their roof installed quickly.

But this year they are frustrated by the long lead-times for roofing materials:
· Some materials, if ordered today, will not arrive for 310 days, which is next June!
· Industry reports indicate no improvement in the supply chain through all of 2022.

So now, Building Owners are worried because they won’t get that new roof this year, and if a decision is not made soon, they won’t in 2022 either.

2023. The way things look today, if a roofing project is not ordered in Q3 or early Q4 of 2021, the roof likely will not be installed until 2023.

Some clients we are working with are looking at the #supplychain problem as an opportunity. They perceive this time lag as a Glidepath for better planning. Better planning to achieve corporate goals in:

· #recycling
· #carbonfootprint
· #ESG
· #DEI
