Piers Morgan cleared by Ofcom over Meghan Markle comments.
Ofcom, Britain’s broadcast media regulator, received more than 50,000 complaints about Morgan’s remarks — the most ever and including one from Meghan herself.
Following the furor, Morgan quit the show he had co-hosted for six years.

Unlike Britain’s rambunctious newspapers, the broadcasters are required to follow strict impartiality standards.
They must follow a code, which includes rules like the one that states broadcasters must “provide adequate protection for members of the public from harmful and/or offensive material.” Twice a month, Ofcom reports on the outcomes of investigations into possible breaches.
On Wednesday, it ruled that while Morgan's remarks on suicide and mental health were "potentially harmful and offensive," he had the right to say them and that, given the "extensive" challenge offered by his co-presenters, the remarks were "sufficiently contextualized."

Following the ruling, Morgan tweeted, “This is a resounding victory for free speech and a resounding defeat for Princess Pinocchios.” He added: “Do I get my job back?”

The duchess did not comment.
