Steven Anderson's Twisted 1 Thessalonians 4-Matthew 24 Comparison Refuted

Steven Anderson tries to draw a comparison between Matthew 24:29-31 and 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 to prove his post-trib false doctrine. There are numerous problems with this.

The events in 1 Corinthians 15:51-54 and 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 are described as happening in a “moment in the twinkling of an eye” (1 Cor. 15:52), the events happen as quickly as the blink of an eye. This is not the case in Matthew 24:29-31, a process of events that takes time is described, first, the sun and moon are darkened, then the stars fall from heaven (Matthew 24:29, Joel 3:15), then the sign of the Son of man appears (Matthew 24:30), and then the angels gather the elect (Matthew 24:31), the event described in Matthew 24:29-31 are not happening in the “moment in the twinkling of an eye.”

1 Corinthians 15:52 and 1 Thessalonians 4:16 both mention dead saints being resurrected and going up BEFORE the living saints. There are no dead saints being resurrected anywhere in Matthew 24 (or in Mark 13, Luke 17 & 21).

Matthew 24 mentions great signs and wonders (Matt. 24:3, Matt. 24:24) happening before the appearing of Jesus Christ (1 Cor. 1:22 says the Jews require a sign. Exodus 7:3-5 and Exodus 4:28 show the Jewish nature of spiritual signs). There are no signs and wonders mentioned in 1 Corinthians 15:51-54 or 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18.
