The Holy Ghost never deals with you in your mind. Mind is important, don't get me wrong. We are supposed to renew our minds (Romans 12:1-2), not that God will speak to us in our minds, but so that our minds line up with our spirits, and so that our minds don't push back against what God is saying in our spirits.

The unrenewed mind and the body have a natural tendency to team up against the spirit. Before we became new creatures in Christ Jesus, we were ruled by our minds - chiefly, that means we have been ruled by emotions and feelings, not logic.

We are three parts: spirit, soul, and body. If we renew our minds to the Word of God and we keep our bodies in submission, our whole self, all three parts, will line up with the real truth.

We are required to acknowledge all of the good things that are in us in Christ Jesus (Philemon 1:6). If we only have a shallow knowledge and shallow understanding of what Jesus accomplished for us, if we don't actually know who we are in Christ, we won't live the full life God has intended and provided for us.

We have the ability and the right to choose what we are going to think about (Philippians 4:8).

Most of our problems in life stick around if we try to solve those problems naturally. If you want God to get involved, you're going to have to step out of the natural and get over into the spiritual side of things.

How?

1. You have to be in Christ (and if you have believed and confessed Him - Romans 10:8-10 - you are).
2. It sure helps to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
3. You need to be constantly renewing your spirit.

One Sunday morning event, one church service, isn't nearly enough to sustain you all week. And it's not how God has designed it. It's not that we should go to church every day. What we should do is, build ourselves up with the Word and prayer every day.

God will give you instructions in the spirit when you keep your mind and your attention on Him constantly.

The way of the Spirit ALWAYS lines up with the Word of God. Spend your time learning the way of the Spirit.

The renewal process is tied to speaking in tongues. That's how we build ourselves up on our most holy faith (Jude 1:20). It is not man made. It is being willing to submit your voice to the Spirit.

Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.
