Year of the Cat by Al Stewart ~ WITH LYRICS ON SCREEN!

This is truly a special song, a Magical creation, that virtually everybody still remembers where they were the first time they heard it on the radio...

Al Stewart is a Man of God, and he wrote all of his songs as deeply encoded Allegories, to ensure that he could share God's Teachings without being censured by the Music Industry...often, Al Stewart would use Historical events or characters as the focal point of his songs, however, they were indeed merely allegories for the higher teachings of Mankind's Physiology, and in particular with Al Stewart either the dichotomy between the Left and Right Hemispheres of the Brain (see Palace of Versailles), the dire necessity to go within and create one's own reality via Meditation (see Time Passages and Song on the Radio), or the Raising of the Chrism Oil thru the Kundalini Rising (see Year of the Cat)...

The true genius of this song is that because it is such a suggestive lyrical tale, and such a rich, hypnotic Musical journey, it is HARD to stay focused upon what is being said, and one often finds oneself, LOST, Again, and needing to start the song all over again, just to be ABEL to stay focused upon the lyrical tale...however, if you can achieve this, then the storyline becomes clear, the Wombman from the Year of the Cat, is our Magnetic Mother Rising within us, the Kundalini Serpent uncoiling 3 and 1/2 times...and we know this, because the Year of the Cat, is an Astrological Clue for entering back into the Zodiac in August (the song FEELS like it was written at the height of the Summer) at LEO, the Father, God...which leads to Virgo, Mary, our Virgin, Pure Mother, which leads to Libra, which is a Child BORN FREE...as Free as the Wind Blows...

And all of this signifies the Magnetic Kundalini Energy within us, rising the Chrism Oil (Christ Consciousness) back Home to God, and this is why the Protagonist sings, "but for now I'm going to stay...in the Year of the Cat"...in the HOUSE of Leo, that will lead to Virgo, that leads to Freedom...which is why Producer, Alan Parsons, aided the song with that gorgeous extended outro, with all those unique solos, whereby signifying FREEDOM from the System, and a True Return to God...

IN THE YEAR OF THE CAT...or the Lion...Rise and Rise again you Lambs, until you become LIONS...
