Road to Hell, Parts One and Two by Chris Rea ~ The Truth of our Reality!

Road to Hell, both the Album and the Song (in two parts) marks one of the best musical compilations on one album in music history...in 1989, there was the Truth of our reality, from someone who possessed Fame, and yet was still respected as an Artist, the world over...Chris Rea spoke the Truth, which is why Warner Brothers wasn't happy about such an album, and told Rea that the record would NOT sell and would ruin his career in America...but Rea stood his ground, hung in there tough, and forced the record to be released, and...well, it went to #1 in the UK and 6 times Platinum, and eventually sold over 6 million copies worldwide...

Chris Rea gave the people what they wanted...the Truth...

The song, Road to Hell, Part One, was a Gospel-type Blues with stunning lyrics regarding our Sacred Mother, rolling in her grave, at the mere thought of her Children on the verge of attempting Fame in the land of the False Milk and Honey...warning her Son to beware...that the "road of fame" he had undertaken, was indeed, the Road to Hell...and it truly was and IS!

Road to Hell, Part Two, took the warning in Part One even further, and Rea let Organized Society HAVE IT from virtually every single angle, featuring shots about Corporate Greed and Pollution, how Fear had gripped us like a Vice around our throats, and even included the Truth about our FAKE Monetary system, as just "bits of paper flying away from you"...the result was a song for ALL TIME, and one of the Very Best songs/albums, ever released...many have called this album a Masterpiece, and it is...but this song goes even beyond that praise, as it told us the WHOLE TRUTH about our pathetic reality all the way back in 1989...and let us know, that consenting to this depraved sickness known as Society, was not only unhealthy for the Body, but the MIND as well...

The song ended with the following lines...WOW...

"Oh, look out world, take a good look
What comes down here
You must learn this lesson fast
And learn it well
This ain't no upwardly mobile freeway
Oh no, this is the road
Said this is the road
This is the road to hell..."

And oh, has Chris Rea ever been proven RIGHT over the years...as this world of theirs, is indeed, the Road to Hell...
