FAST Racing Neo Online Races (Recorded on 5/18/16)

After several delays and months of waiting, Shin'en has finally released the patch for this game which fixes certain glitches, adds a mini-map, additional speed classes and online nametags. I stopped playing this game back in January because it would randomly freeze my system and disconnect people online. But now that the patch is out, the game is running much smoother and I'm noticing no problems whatsoever.

My favorite new feature in this patch is probably the option for faster speed classes. Before the patch was released, you could only race online in the lowest speed class: Subsonic League. I had a problem staying competitive in that league because certain ships had a clear advantage over others.

But now, you can choose a preferred league, which includes the faster ones (Supersonic and Hypersonic). I prefer the faster leagues because they're more fun and they feel more balanced for online.

Also, the game doesn't create different lobbies based on your speed setting. Instead, each person selects a preferred league, and the game apparently factors that in with the voting system.

For these races I used the Mueller PLS again. Although I'm likely to lose to faster ships in the Subsonic League, I think it's handling will provide beneficial in the faster classes. So I'll see how that works out in the months ahead. Enjoy!

Course list:

Kenshu Jungle (Supersonic League) - 0:19
Zvil Raceway (Subsonic League) - 2:41
Alpine Trust (Subsonic League) - 6:17
Sendai Outpost (Supersonic League) - 9:54

Recorded with the Elgato Game Capture HD60 and the Wii U's HDMI cable at native 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second. I'm using a Wii Wheel.
