I bought a new 10” Nicholson file last year at a local hardware store and attempted to make a flint and steel striker...It was a complete fail due to cheaper metals now being used. It was a total disappointment because Nicholson are usually good quality but I guess they’ve decided to cut corners, like a lot of others have here lately! I edited and sped up the video to shorten the length to save you the headache of watching the whole failed project.
