The Ultimate Message within this song relates to the Teachings of Jesus Christ in the New Testament of the Bible...in particular, "Take No Thought for Your Life", wherein, when we stop taking thought out of our Left Brains, and TRUST completely in God to guide us in every single moment of our Lives, then HE will lay himself down for us, "like a Bridge Over Troubled water" and we will Suffer no more...for the Pure Thought, or Manna, from God is pure Heaven, sans troubles, and thus, this is akin to "Taking the Load off of Fanny" and putting the load right onto God's Shoulders...as it should be...
