🕯 How does this apply today?: Jesus is our sacrifice. we are to pray always and on all occasions. "The wine poured out in the drink-offering is to teach us to serve God with the best we have.... The offerings in the new moons showed thankfulness for the renewing of earthly blessings. Just as the moon borrows light from the sun, and is renewed by its influences; so the church borrows her light from Jesus Christ." (Matthew Henry), God is able to supply the needs of his people 24/7/365.

📖 About the book: The Book of Numbers is the fourth book of the Hebrew Bible, and the fourth of five books of the Jewish Torah. This book is called NUMBERS from the several numberings of the people contained in it. It extends from the giving of the law at Sinai, till their arrival in the plains of Jordan. An account is given of their murmuring and unbelief, for which they were sentenced to wander in the wilderness nearly forty years; also some laws, both, moral and ceremonial. Their trials greatly tended to distinguish the wicked and hypocrites from the faithful and true servants of God, who served him with a pure heart.
