1971 Air-cooled VW bug auto vlog day 4.
Memories. Let me tell ya, this project is giving me LOTS of memories. This ol' 1971 Standard VW Bug has lived some life. Some would say she's a classic car. I say she is a bucket of bolts held together with rust and body filler. But that's kinda what makes working on these things interesting. You never know what you have until after you start stripping the paint off! What a good time though! I encourage anyone who is just looking to make some memories to get out there and find something you've always wanted to try and give it a whirl!

Naval Jelly is a gel formed Phosphoric acid. You brush it on and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes. It removes all rust so you can have confidence it will not rust through your paint again!

Some may say getting something like this done takes faith. I'd agree! Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. ... so yeah, I'd say that about sums it up!
