Veterinary services personnel from all over Europe came to Rhine Ordnance Barracks August 19, 2021 for a K9 TCCC (tactical combat casualty care) training event, designed to help them learn how to "train trainers" - including US military personnel and our international partners - on providing basic medical care to an injured military working dog. The K9 TCCC, which began through a partnership with the 64th Medical Detachment VSS and Public Health Command Europe, included individual skill training, followed by a number of practice scenarios using simulated casualty canines called Diesel and Hero. The next training course will be held in November. (U.S. Army Video by Spc. Katelyn Myers)
