Come along with us as we explore Wild Horse Island, the largest island on Flathead Lake. Wild Horse Island was once used by the Salish - Kootenai to pasture their horses and to keep them from being stolen. The island has 5 wild horses still residing there along with Big Horn Sheep, Deer and Birds. The island is approximately 2,164 acres of rolling grassy hills with plenty of Ponderosa Pine.
