The Weeknd has revealed some of the musical influences that inspired his 2011 compilation album, Trilogy.
During a live installment of his Apple Music show Memento Mori, the R&B singer born Abel Tesfaye shared his affinity for rock and metal music.
The episode celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Weeknd's 2011 mixtape, Thursday, which evidently prompted him to look back at the music that impacted him during that time.
He praised alt-metal band Deftones and paid tribute to late Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington in a pair of mid-episode tweets.
