I have suspended feeding for now. The cost of corn has increased significantly as well as the consumption volume. Using a gravity feeder allows eating until full or there is no more feed. Some bears have damaged the feeder trying to optimize their consumption. I may restart with a timed feeder dispersing limited feed should I find a feeder the bears cannot reach and/or push over. The number of bears has increased with appearances at night and day which is causing some concern for safety. Bears are not known for attacks in our area but I have heard stories of bears breaking into houses. Their sense of smell is very keen and a large bear can easily go through a door. I will continue to video and upload whatever I may capture. Currently, despite the lack of feed, a few bears are still visiting - looking. Each upload may be a combination of multiple days.
