ASEAN not as effective as hoped in Myanmar: Singapore

Efforts to stop the crisis in Myanmar by the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) through diplomacy have not been as fast or effective as hoped, according to Singapore's foreign minister, and the situation remains "dire."
