Taliban Rule: Shia Muslims to observe day of Ashura

In Afghanistan, there have been sporadic demonstrations to commemorate the country's independence. The Afghan national flag was flown in the streets in defiance of the Taliban, who assumed control of the country on Monday. In several locations, the Taliban used gunfire to disperse crowds. It did, however, enable Shia Muslims to observe the day of Ashura in an unusual gesture. Al Jazeera's Rob Mcbride has this report from Kabul.
