Kentucky Parent Educates Local School Board

A KY parent speaks at a local school board meeting before they vote on Mandatory Masks, 8/9/21. After hearing from parents on both sides of this issue, the board voted unanimously to allow parents the option to choose.

The next day, the Governor issued an EO mandating all staff, teachers, and students (age 2 & above) in K-12 schools and childcare centers must wear a mask indoors. KDE State School Board followed him two days later by issuing their own mandate for all public K-12 schools to make masks mandatory for the 2021-22 school year.

Once again, our leaders failed to recognize a parent's right to choose, and simply ignore the science and data.
