Biden sees 'chaos' as US presses Taliban to let Afghans leave

US President Joe Biden says it has been impossible to leave Afghanistan without chaos, standing by his decision to end the 20-year US war in Afghanistan. "The idea that somehow there's a way to have gotten out without chaos ensuing, I don't know how that happens," Biden says in an ABC News television interview. He also adds, for the first time, that some soldiers could remain past the August 31 deadline to ensure all Americans get out. Video: AFP
