Missed yesterday due to technical issues, but today, I'm going to cover what I was intending to discuss then.

You may think charitable drives at the workplace, or association or affiliation in the office, or at church (or frankly in PRETTY MUCH ANY GROUP SETTING), is a wonderful thing.

People like me end up having others treat us a "villains" because we don't support such things.

For my part, I try to give of my substance, when I find a cause that makes it reasonable to do so.

I don't even want to go into the details as to why the various drives folks are prone to support ARE NOT generally such places.

That said, I DO want to encourage YOU, to do your own research.

When you're done, if you continue to support such things, GREAT.

For my part though, there are MANY reasons I DON'T tend to do that.

This is what's discussed in the current edition of The Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and Politics.

When I'm able to complete the companion article on the Kurt's Religion and Politics Blog, I'll post a link to it here.
