AUDIO & VIDEO SOFTWARES FOR LINUX

There's more than just pointing a camera at a face and spewing junk. There's a bunch of software that can make anyone (including me) look reasonably good and semi-intelligent. Let me introduce you to the following:

OBS Studio: https://obsproject.com/

Shotcut: https://shotcut.org/

Kdenlive: https://kdenlive.org/

Audacity: https://www.audacityteam.org/ (or look for older version in your Linux/Mac/Windows software sources. 2.3.3 is a good version to get if you can.)

OcenAudio: https://www.ocenaudio.com/

Ardour: https://ardour.org/ (Not talked about, but really great audio software. My computer can’t handle it, because it requires more than I can handle processor and system wise.)

Inkscape: https://inkscape.org/

GIMP: https://www.gimp.org/ (If you use GIMP, consider adding GMIC and XSane. GMIC will give you more image manipulation choices, and Xsane should work with your Scanner to use GIMP as the go-to program.)

Woodford Reserve (just because): https://www.woodfordreserve.com/

Pixabay: https://pixabay.com/ (for free images, videos, music, and vectors. Great site!)

CafePress: https://www.cafepress.com/+linux+gifts (Want to send me a T-Shirt, Mug, Hat, whatever? Let me know, and I’ll give you a way to send it to me. TIA, Dudes!)

You can find me on:

Remember our words of wisdom: Don’t drive drunk, don’t drink and drive, don’t buy crap off of Amazon or eBay (or MS Edge?)
because you’re all buzzed up and think you’re getting cool stuff. You’re probably not. Bottoms up, and later dudes!
