Happiness is quite a difficult thing to measure because we all have our definitions of when we are happy and how we express happiness. Nevertheless the UN came up with a metrics to classify the happiest countries in the world. The World Happiness Report has been an annual survey that was launched in 2012 of more than 350,000 people in 95 countries asking them to rate their happiness on a 10-point scale. The report has been from then conducted every year by the UN's Sustainable Development Solutions Network. The measures of surveying the citizens in each UN member state include life expectancy, social support, personal and civil freedoms, generosity, income per capita and levels of corruption among others.
