Firefighters from the Michigan and Minnesota National Guard, the Marine Reserves, and civilian entities received training as they responded to a simulated helicopter crash at Grayling Army Airfield, during Northern Strike 21. Northern Strike is a joint service, multicomponent, multinational readiness building exercise that allows units to complete training requirements in a condensed two-week period.
