MAKE FORKS NOT SPOONS

Carving is a great pastime for sure. You get to make all sorts of cool stuff using a skill you build. But carving spoons you need a spoon knife, hook knife or a gouge to make the concavity. At the very least those specialized tools make it tremendously easier to make a nicer looking end product. Instead, carve a fork. You can still use it the same way you would use a spoon....but you just won't have an easy time eating soup!
