U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Gen. Michael S. Cederholm, the commanding general of 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, pilots a CH-53K "King Stallion" assigned to Marine Operational Test and Evaluation Squadron (VMX) One at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, June 17, 2021. The CH-53K will replace the CH-53E “Super Stallion,” which has served the Marine Corps for 40 years, and will transport Marines, heavy equipment and supplies during ship-to-shore movement in support of amphibious assault and subsequent operations ashore.
