VIDEO VIRAL ANGRY SNAKE MOTHER || KEEPING HIS EGGS

The reticulated python has a pattern of large reticulated nets composed of black, brown, yellow and white colors along the dorsal side of its body. The python family or Pythonidae can be distinguished from snakes from other families by the dorsal scales of more than 45 rows. In reticulated pythons, the dorsal (back) scales are about 70-80 rows, the ventral (stomach) scales are 297-332 from under the neck to the anus, and the subcaudal (underside of the tail) is 75-102 pairs. The rostral shield (scales on the tip of the snout) and the four leading supralabial shields (scales on the upper lip) have heat sensor pits (Tweedie, 1983).
