Trying to ID this wood- thinking Hard Maple

Big thank you to Pat McGinnis for giving me this piece of wood. We think it is Hard Maple, but not certain. The 12 slices came from one log and measure approximately 2.24" in diameter and 7/8" thick.
I will be incorporating them into a resin accent table soon.
