DIY - How to make a spectacular VERTICAL WOODEN WALL CHESS SET

This is the second DIY-project of 20 blown away projects I made myself and are going to share with you, to make it yourself as well. Some of the projects are easy and only takes an hour or two, while others will take many hours, but are totally worth it at the end - believe me.
This second project is a little bit more complicated than the first FRIDGE CHESS SET project, but still easy enough for nearly anyone to make.
Where the first project is placed onto your fridge, this wooden chess board can be mounted on any wall in your house, as a decoration and/or to play on it as well. The pieces that comes off the board, you simply put it on top of your chess board, from there the flat wooden part on top of the board. See also the finished slide as to what I am referring to.
For my chessboard, I made each square block from a different tree's wood and furthermore I also did not have all the professional equipment, therefore it took me a little longer to make. With proper woodwork equipment though, you can surely make this chessboard in one day. Just make sure your "building plan" with all the dimensions is 100% correct before you start. Also take into account that the Perspex strips will add to the vertical length of your chess board. Thus, if you want your board to be 100% square, the blocks on your chess board's vertical diameter must be less than the horizontal diameter...
Keep in mind that the DIY-videos I provide, is short and to the point and therefore not in much detail, but I tried my best to give you the basics of what and how to do it and hopefully you will be able to follow the instructions and replicate what I have done.
