The PRx Performance folding incline bench is finally here!

This has been something people have been asking for a very long time.

And PRx has come through once again in their typical space saving fashion.

====
In the Box
====

The PRx folding incline bench comes 99% assembled out of the box.

All you need to is drill 4 holes into the wall for the wall bracket and attach the gas shocks to the bench.

Everything else is already done and they include all the hardware.

====
Specs
====

➡️ Bench padding: 2” thick, 50” long x 12” wide

➡️ Space taken up by bench (folded): 7” from the wall, 62 1/4” tall from the floor

➡️ Space taken up by bench (unfolded): 61” from the wall, 18” tall from the floor

➡️ 4 leveling feet to accommodate for uneven floors

➡️ Flat bench plus 6 levels of incline

Installation
====

Installing the PRx Performance folding incline bench was fairly simple.

You’ll need to find 2 studs 16” on center.

If the studs on your wall are not 16” on center, you’ll need a stringer board that’s at least 8” tall and wide enough to cover 2 studs.

Measure and mark 9 1/4” from the floor for the first hole.

And then 13 3/4” from the floor for the second hole.

Drill 2 holes on each mark with a 7/32” drill bit.

Place the bench’s wall bracket on those holes and fasten the lag bolt and washer 2/3 of the way in.

Stand the bench up against the wall (you may need help to hold it up).

Then fasten the gas shocks to the bench while in the upright position.

Lower the bench and finish screwing the lag bolts all the way in.

That’s it, you’re done!

Unlocking / Locking the Bench
===

To unlock the folding bench, you have to pull a latch behind the top of the backrest.

That will unlock the bench from the frame and will move it into the first incline position.

To move to other incline angles, you pull a handle latch at the bottom of the seat and roll the bench towards the wall.

A pin will lock the bench into one of the 6 settings you select.

===
Incline Settings
===

The bench folds out directly to a flat bench.

Then you have 6 different incline settings ranging from 30 degrees to 80 degrees.

===
Assisted Folding / Unfolding Mechanism
===

To assist you with carrying the weight of the bench, PRx added a couple of gas shocks near the wall bracket.

On the way down, the gas shocks prevent the bench from free falling to the floor.

On the way up, they help to lift the bench towards the wall without having to carry its full weight.

Once folded, the gas shocks maintain the bench up against the wall.
