Monday Moments 8-2-21

He’s winding up for the pitch… gonna make a play at the plate!

Now serving up some of that experience, right or wrong it was an observation, and share worthy.

I was in eighth grade… still very unaware of the horror behind the scenes. You could almost cut through the tension with a butter knife.

I know now it fueled the distrust of the known establishment.

The world was for ever changing in the 70’s, the very social fabric was being torn apart by those damn hippie’s…

School required a dress code, but there were a few of us that challenged the code as we explored work arounds.

Just what could we get away with, how far would we go!

Settled on the best pair of black elephant bottom “dress pants” my mom could afford and off to school I went. Only to be turned around shortly after attendance.

Dad was dead set against, long hair, paisley print, peace signs and bell bottom blue jeans. Mom on the other hand kept an open mind, or she allowed it just to piss off my father.

I wasn’t easy but I survived those trying times. If there was something that would have shortened the process I would not have learned from it, I would still be learning. #dbrn
