Recording conversations will change your life
A tactic I have introduced into my life and my coaching practice! Without doubt one of the most powerful things
I started to discover how amazing this works after recording the meditations and then sending back to the clients to watch again and again
After a while I started watching back the conversations and started to realise how proud I was of myself and what I was teaching. I loved how much I looked like I was loving what I was doing and was in flo. I witnessed this as the observer of myself
This is a fundamental spiritual teaching. You are not your thoughts. If you take the time to think about what you are thinking about, then you quickly realise that is not you thinking.
Sounds crazy, but just become of the voice in your head.
Watching yourself back will allow you to analyse every bit about you. How you carry yourself, how you behave, what you say, how you say it. You get to notice your body language at different emotions and notice subconscious behaviours, like saying erm, or scratching your arm.
The only way to learn is through awareness and this is the best form of awareness
When you watch back, watch from three perspectives.
Let’s say you are watching back a conversation with your kid
Firstly watch as you but this time when you are watching start paying attention to the feelings in your body when certain things are said.
Secondly watch from the parent. What ever comes out of your kids mouth has a direct correlation with your parenting. All of your thoughts and behaviours would have been stored into their subconscious
Notice how you feel, listen to what they say. Are you proud? Are you disgusted? Either or focus on from now. Let go of guilt, shame or embarrassment, that’s gone, time to focus on what next
If you do not like what you see, then at least you can now address this. You can observe your behaviours going forward and improve. It will make you a better parent
If you do like what you see, then start giving yourself more appreciation. You are doing a great job as a parent
Then watch as the observer to the whole thing. Notice body language, connection, attention, engagement. You will quickly learn about the other person.
Within a few weeks, relationships will improve, friendships will strengthen, connections to your family will be on another lever and most importantly everyone will be much more happier
