S/V Uroborus My Time With Her

IN this video I discuss my boat and some of my experiences with her. In the end because of certain shifts in our world I got rid of the boat. It was no longer a good idea to have that level of distraction. I lived on that boat on and off for close to three years total. During that time I learned how to work fiberglass and actually make some rather unique items from scratch. I learned how to really use dehydrated food and I will be passing on what I learned in my 'Dicks Diner' series of videos and in some cases the 'Load Your Larder' series. Freeze dried costs too much and so I mastered many of the old skills to trim off those costs and extend ones range on the water. Dicks Diner will get into thermos cooking etc. These were all things everyone used to know how to do before we became so specialized we were helpless. Time to take all of that back.

This video was where the boat first went into the water. There is a warning here about people working on your boats. Make them repeat back to you what you told them to do. If they can’t do that fire them immediately and move on. Had I done that I’d be 15,000 bucks richer and I’d still have the boat.

While working on the boat a sailing museum dropped by the marina next door. I was invited to sail with them over to Fort Meyers. For some strange reason I jumped at the chance. Go figure. I don’t talk much in the videos and they are a bit long but if you want to just eaves drop and watch as some do go for it.

In this video I discuss the whole experience of owning this boat. Below this I’ll add one last video I did on the way across the Gulf heading out from Tampa.
