20210728 EEFIs - The Daily Summation

Back a million years ago, when I was a member of the United States Air Force, there was a concept they taught people who dealt with classified information at higher levels (typically Top Secret and above) on a regular basis.

There were pieces of information, an interested party, could use (usually in combination with other data) to come to conclusions about various things occurring, and data (like logistics).

They seemed innocuous, but were no less dangerous, that considered.

They referred to such information as EEFIs (Essential Elements of Friendly Information).

These days, the recognition that people can combine bits of information from various places, and come up with more substantial or important data, seems to be more important than ever.

People are using data from folks' cell phones (that's pretty much freely available if you know how to get your hands on it), along with other information, to make determinations about things like, where those individuals will be at a particular time.

That's why I chose to cover the topic of EEFIs on today's edition of The Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and Politics.

When I'm able to complete the companion article on the Kurt's Religion and Politics blog, I'll post a link to it here.
