Why Carry a CPR Mask? | EDC

Cardiac arrest kills a person about every 45 seconds in the USA. Everyone should know CPR.

Yes, you can do compressions only. No, you don't NEED a mask. But a barrier device with a one-way valve will help you deliver the highest quality CPR, and increase the chances of a person surviving. These little keychain masks are not the greatest. But they work, and I would rather have a cheap barrier with a simple valve than have nothing at all.

Factor 85 Labs is about sharing the things I enjoy, in a practical way that works for dads and families. Every day is an experiment, and I am sharing what I am learning about practical ways to balance my interests and hobbies with the everchanging life of a dad with small kids. DIY, EDC, cooking, reviews, first aid, whatever the day brings, I figure out what I think is a practical approach, and share that with you.
