Student athlete says academic achievement was overlooked

Alto Tarver was a triple threat in high school sports, and excelled in the classroom in the IB program, National Honors Society and a 5.22 GPA. He says he felt betrayed when his school handed him a physical education award at the ceremony before graduation. Professional athletes say its an issue many black athletes face in high school and beyond.
