SketchUp model for a Game Table

This is an attempt at modelling a game table inspired by Dicey Rolls project. I made some changes to the design. Mainly I attempted to add some leg room for people sitting at the center. I also elevated the table to 42 inches so people do not have to hunch over while standing up to play.

The table is 48"x84"(4'x7'). It should fit a previous 4x6 table mat and will for sure fit the smaller 40k/AoS mat sizes with room to spare. It should accommodate most board games as well.

The center piece is about 30" wide, which fits through my doors. I hope door sizes are standard. These dimensions should be easy to adjust in the model. I created components for everything, so updating them will reflect the changes all its copies for easy adjustments.

One of the things I tried and I think I accomplishes was to formalize the rail system with precise measurements. By adding some curvature to the rail system edges, I managed to smoothly slot accessories in and out in the model. The measurements follow standard sizes that should be easy to find router bits for.

I was not able to test any of this in practice but the model seems to indicate things should work. If anyone is willing to try it, I would like to see the results.

The model does not include where to screw or where to add the extra useful accessories seen in Dicey Rolls video (like caster wheels and the latch clamps to secure the side tables in place) but the model has been made with those in mind so installing them should not be complicated.

If I ever build this, I plan on adding levelling wheels so the table can sit stable and the wheels are only engaged when it needs to be moved and/or levelling feet so one can adjust it for uneven surfaces.

NOTE: I am no carpenter. I have no idea if this project is actually feasible. I am not sure if the table will be balanced and will not flip or tip over, if it will support its own weight or if the legs and desk surface are thick enough to hold people leaning on the table or for heavy objects placed on top of it.
