Doom 3: BFG Edition, Playthrough, Level "Communications"

Fun level.. lot's of jump surprises. Running low on ammo. I was presented with the choice of calling in reinforcements or cancelling the signal, I chose the former. I wonder what would have happened if I cancelled. Anyone know?
