Venture Capitalist Steve Case writes in the Wall Street Journal that the post-pandemic economic shifts will help middle America boom. With today’s Americans for Limited Government Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen. Case notes that as tech workers move to cities such as Phoenix, Salt Lake and Tulsa, many likely won’t work on the same kinds of projects that dominated their time when they were ensconced in their hubs in San Francisco and Cambridge. Entrepreneurs who previously worked in tech bubbles will suddenly be exposed to a wider range of real-world challenges that they likely would never have encountered without the pandemic. Case believes the geographic diffusion of tech will change the industry to its very core. He says the magic of innovation emerges when people from different places weave their respective wisdom together. The best economic news is that tomorrow’s startups are poised to tackle challenges that, until recently, have been overlooked.
