1. How to get V-Bucks in Battle Royale mode
There is only one way to earn V-Bucks in Fortnite completely for free, although it is the most time-consuming method of all: play the Battle Royale mode without purchasing the Battle Pass and evolve the Free Pass, until you reach the levels in which the game offers a quantity of the coins as a prize. The problem is that this offer is scarce.

Normally, the Free Pass only offers 200 V-Bucks per season. You need to play 5 seasons to collect the necessary amount to buy the Battle Pass (950 V-Bucks), building up to levels 11 and 34, the only two that reward you with V-Bucks.

If you manage to collect the V-Bucks this way and purchase the Battle Pass, things are different: you will have more levels that reward your effort with V-Bucks, to the point where you can collect the necessary V-Bucks to buy the next pass with your progress alone.

2. How to get V-Bucks in Save the World mode

There are a few ways to earn V-Bucks in Save the World mode:

Complete the daily quests: Save the World offers a large number of daily quests, each earning 50 V-Bucks;
Complete Story Mode quests: Story Mode features a number of quests that earn a variety of rewards, including V-Bucks. Starting at level 70, you can team up with other players and defend higher-level regions.
